Diatonic and chromatic harmonica teacher
Vincenzo is a harmonica teacher and professional musician, born in Marsala (Sicily) in 1983. He discovered the blues and the diatonic harmonica at the age of 22. In 2006, he graduated in Education Sciences in Rome, where he wrote his final thesis entitled “Blues Music and Its Multicultural Power.”
In his thesis, he explored the musical and historical evolution of the blues. At 23, he moved to London and began practicing the harmonica full time. He started playing the chromatic harmonica at the age of 27, inspired by the music of Toots Thielemans.
While in London, he studied jazz and enriched his musical horizons by exploring genres such as tango and flamenco.
Currently, he is involved in various projects, including developing his own. He has performed in some of London’s most renowned venues, such as Ronnie Scott’s, the Union Chapel, and The Forge. He has also participated in numerous festivals across Europe, including international tango festivals in the Netherlands and France.
Vincenzo is a qualified teacher in both the United Kingdom and Spain. He has been teaching harmonica for many years, working with students of all ages on both diatonic and chromatic harmonica. He has also organized numerous workshops for children and adults with disabilities, both privately and in schools, as well as online through platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet Harmonica Teacher.
