I first met Vincenzo when he was taking 30 people in a beginners harmonica tuition in Hampstead Heath. I was very impressed by the way he managed the session and got everyone playing a tune by the end of the session. On that day I decided I want him to be my chromatic harmonica tutor. I’ve been with him 2years. He is easy to get on with and I’ve certainly made good progress. Vincenzo is also a great online harmonica teacher. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to to learn to play harmonica.
I started to teach myself to play chromatic harmonica about 17 years ago by listening to Larry Adler and trying to copy him which was a painstaking process. Having worked in isolation and with limited success I stopped playing completely. In late 2014 and after a 10 year hiatus I decided try again but this time learn to play properly and I was lucky enough to be put onto Vincenzo after a bit of Internet research and cold calling.
Over the last couple of years my playing has gone from strength to strength thanks to the teaching of Vincenzo. He is an excellent teacher who is very much student centred in his approach, always extremely friendly and highly knowledgeably. Under Vincenzo’s guidance my technical ability, musicality, understanding of theory and repertoire in a number of styles has improved immeasurably as has my confidence. I am now able to work with other musicians which is extremely rewarding and my enthusiasm for playing continues to grow.
I throughly recommend Vicenzo as a teacher for players of all levels of ability and ambition.
